Moranbah Airport Queensland

Avionics are currently completing an AGL upgrade of Moranbah Airport’s Runway 16/34 for BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA). These upgrade works will help to ensure the continuity of aircraft access to Moranbah and the surrounding Isaac Region which has a large population of fly-in fly-out workers servicing the surrounding coal mines and associated infrastructure.

The scope of works include:


-Primary & secondary pit & duct

-Primary & secondary cabling

New pit and duct network around entire length of Runway 16/34 and surrounding apron and taxiways

-New PAPI’s at each end including new pier foundations

-New low intensity LED runway and taxiway lights

New floodlight pole installation & retrofit of existing poles with new luminaires

-Lightning protection for circuits
